ProductsThe growing process off Tulips When we plant tulip bulbs in the Fall, they remain in the ground to develop until Spring. In France, we harvest those bulbs at the end of May; and in Holland, we harvest at the end of July. After we harvest the bulbs, they are peeled, cleaned and sorted according to size. The tulip bulbs are then climatically treated so they will bloom at precisely the right time the following winter. In winter, the bulbs are carefully transported to where they will be planted in plant trays on pins. The trays are filled with water and then placed in cooling cells. After about three weeks, the bulbs are moved to the greenhouse where they will remain until their flowers are produced. After the flowers reach the desired size, they are plucked one by one and stripped from the bulbs manually, then mechanically bundled into attractive bunches. They are then packed for shipment according to the specifications of the customer. The flowers are maintained at a constant temperature to preserve freshness. Tulips in Sight delivers fresh and high quality product every day so the consumer receives a beautiful bunch of tulips. Tulipsoverview
